2022 “Riding for the Brand” Miss Rodeo Wyoming Clinic

The Miss Rodeo Wyoming Association Clinic “Ride for the Brand” is Saturday, March 26th, 10 AM to 7 PM and Sunday, March 27th, 2022, 8 AM to 2 PM.  The clinic will take place in Riverton, WY at the Central Wyoming College Equine Center.  We have two amazing featured clinicians this year who will join Sierra Butler, Miss Rodeo Wyoming 2022, in sharing their knowledge.  Our first featured clinician is Martina Loobey 2021 Miss Rodeo South Dakota and the winner of the coveted horsemanship award at the Miss Rodeo America (MRA) 2022 Pageant in December in Las Vegas, NV.  Martina also placed in the top 10 at the MRA 2022 Pageant. Our second clinician is Miss Rodeo Wyoming 2020/2021 Rachel Derner who also placed in the top 10 at the MRA 2022 Pageant and has a wealth of horsemanship knowledge.

Horsemanship is the main focus for the “Ride for the Brand” clinic; featuring rail work, patterns, draw horses, flag etiquette, cattle work, clearing timed event cattle, rodeo arena etiquette, and rodeo knowledge.  Saturday evening will focus on wardrobe choices: cost versus value, shopping options – local/small business, fit and color, and how to determine what hat shape is best for you. The clinic is open to young ladies, ages 12 to 25, interested in running for rodeo royalty titles as well as those that already hold titles and are planning to run for state titles. Cost to attend the Miss Rodeo Wyoming Association Clinic “Ride for the Brand” on March 26th and 27th, 2022 in Riverton, WY at the Central Wyoming College’s Equine Center is $180.00 and must be paid by March 11, 2022.  Parents/committee members may also attend for a $30.00 fee. The registration fee for participants and parents/committee members includes three meals and two snack sessions.  Information and registration can be found on the Miss Rodeo Wyoming website (www.missrodeowyoming.com).

The host hotel for the clinic is the Hampton Inn & Suites (2500 N. Federal Blvd, Riverton, WY). Rooms can accommodate up to four guests, suites will accommodate up to five guests.  Amenities at the hotel include a continental breakfast, pool and Jacuzzi, exercise room and gift store.  The Hampton Inn & Suites is offering the Miss Rodeo Wyoming Association a special room rate of $119 per night.
